The database contains a large number of categories each of which contains many subcategories. If you are not impressed by the products displayed you can use the search links towards the top to search within a specific category (hence over all its subcategories) or to search the entire database (hence over all categories and subcategories). This way you are more likely to find what you want.

This site has been designed like your top bricks-and-mortar department store, except that it has limitless storage space and you don’t move about or carry anything while you shop.

 

A top department store has a series of well-labelled departments with a map or guide for reaching these departments. Each department is organised into well-designed sections each of which contains a specific range of products on a particular topic.

 

When you go in to shop you pick up a shopping cart or basket and then proceed from one department to another and from one section to another (within departments) to investigate and select products. You place the selected products in your shopping cart or basket. When you are through shopping you proceed to check-out where you pay for the goods. You deposit the shopping cart or basket and take your goods home.

 

The same procedure is practised on this site, except that you don’t pick up and later deposit the shopping cart or basket. This cart or basket is automatically available to you. You just move from one department to another and from one section to another to investigate and select products and then add them to your shopping cart. You can break off your shopping session and return to it later and your products will still be in your shopping cart waiting for you. Once you’re through shopping you proceed to check-out to pay for your goods.

 

You don’t carry your goods home. They are delivered to you as soon as you want. You can track the progress of your order once you’ve paid for the goods, until the goods are delivered to you. You can return products within the guarantee period without paying shipping costs for the returns. 24-hour customer service is available to you 7 days a week.

 

On this site, the departments and sections are the set of links on the left side of the page. If you click on a department it will open the set of sections of which it is composed. If you click on a section it will open the range of products making up that section. Once you’ve completed shopping you can open the partner site to check out and pay for the goods.
