- Unrealistic Financial Expectations. Almost all newcomers start out with the belief
that it is easy to make money online. They hear about the Internet being the place
for automated income-
generating machines and think they can just get in and start to make a killing. You can make good money on the Internet and, if you know what to do, it is dead easy. But you must learn the ropes before you can achieve your success. It takes time! - Get Rich Quick Schemes. Newcomers encounter get-
rich- quick schemes the moment they step foot online and try to run an online, Internet, or home- based business. Their belief in getting rich quick makes them fall for scam artists who take advantage of our intrinsic greed and laziness in order to sell us shoddy products. - Hype. The Internet is the nesting ground for hype or exaggerated claims. Everyone is trying to get your attention, to get money out of your pocket. Newcomers fall for this hype without looking at the facts. The result is disappointment, especially when they find that their belief in getting rich quick is not materialised in a product.
- Too Much Work. Newcomers, after finally realising that you must work for your keep
online, become disappointed. They lose interest and abandon. Online, Internet, or
home-

An online business is an intellectual business. This means that there are always new things to learn when you start and run it. It doesn't mean that you must be a powerful intellectual to succeed at your online business.
